Good for you. That's the way to handle it.
For other drivers out there, there are plenty of companies that will hire you if you have a valid dot medical card with a few months left on it. Don't have to get a physical; just a pee test for drugs.
Get a physical on your own, then go with one of those companies.

 

Maybe consider getting the neck size under control? You know, ounce of prevention thing...

 

My last medical card renewal the fat little toad told me finishing up that after the new regs are passed I would only get it for 1 year at a time.
"Say what?"
Your neck size is way, way over your height index.
"So what I say. My arms, brain and other things are multiple sizes to big also." [That pissed her off.]
Then she told me I was border line obese.
[That pissed me off.]
Ok I say, how much should I weigh? She told me some B.S # and I just had to laugh. Out weighed that in grade school.
My sister is a nurse practitioner in the same hospital. About this time she poked her head in. She's a shorter, built like a brick ****-house bohemian like me. I told the toad that was giving me my exam to put the tape measure on my sisters neck. She wouldn't do it.
So we had I one sided talk about family genetics. You just cant reason with these people.
You have the scrawny jog 5 miles type.
And the walk a mile with a freezer on your back type.
Friggen medical people know your at their mercy. I have never answered any of the tobacco or alcohol questions yet. I just tell them I'm here by federal law and that has nothing to with my profession.
