When a school takes students to a DMV facility for testing, they usually let the students take turns driving. Once that or the students pass and recieve their CDL they are no longer allowed to drive the school vehicle back to the school.

As was explained to me was the insurance for some reason stipulated that only permit drivers only are allowed to operate comercial vehicles. The instructor stated this to me and I went and checked with the school owner who confirmed it. So I thought that they both were pulling my leg and I went and called a few other people I know and they also confirmed the same thing.

DUH.....................go figure.............

I went to Fox valley in Wisconsin, and their policy was once a student gets their cdl, they'll ride shotgun with those that haven't got theirs yet, trade off driving actually... This would be a benefit of a school that was 10 weeks long. All students had to log at least 1000 miles btw to graduate also.
