@Chinatown has given some sage advice, when I was looking for my first job he gave some very helpful suggestions. No benefits, and you are right, $1200 isn't bad for a first year driver, I just may have gotten spoiled - never had a five-figure bank account balance in my life![]()

Yes I got my current t thanks to his suggestion and I'm loving it. I always get trigger happy thinking I can do better and hop fast before thinking to deeply about what I'm getting in to.
it hard being young and always wanting better money or job satisfaction -
If you're content there, try to stick around.
Plenty of other companies with solo & teams.
Maybe have a backup plan in case you decide to leave
Here's one that's W-2 and can run solo or team out of Kingman.

Here's one that runs teams to Alaska.
Not positive they hire in Arizona, but you can check it out. Haul produce from Southwest to Alaska.
Alaska, Pacific Northwest, Texas, Western Canada
They do hire in Texas, so maybe Arizona.

Thats how teaming is. Its never fair like that, dont be butthurt. Every decision the company makes has to benefit one driver more than the other.
If thats 1250 gross every week then you arent getting paid enough to team.nredfor88, FryDaddy, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
Chinatown has already found the non resident that rolled the truck a new job. You should be cinch.

Dont get butt hurt! The other driver preferred to drive with an old friend more than you. That's just life. But you got screwed because the other driver got to stay on the run.
What you have to do is is go thru a few drivers and find one you want to team with.
Talk to your boss about your pay if your not happy. Sounds like your making.50 a mile for your share of the miles. So look around before you leave. Dont talk yourself into a pay cut.88228822, dunchues, Cabinover101 and 1 other person Thank this. -
