From previous threads, you never cared about the proper HOS before turning down those loads, so why care about them for the loads you did turn down?

For other posters he ran under Cali HOS for interstate loads.

How much experience do you have now?
    Do you have endorsements?
Central Transport has a new terminal in Perris
Those line haul jobs pay well and easy drop & hook/terminal to terminal.
    Salary: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 /year

This is Lithium. A little more involved than just "Car Batteries."

Any old chump can run Car Batteries under a set of 4 diamonds and a checked off BOL box in pink on papers. Ive done it.

It's the Lithium that is REALLY a problem PLUS his history as charged by the safety boss turning down 5 loads in the past.

Believe me, all companies write down anything a driver does that goes against them. However small.

Not car batteries, Lithium Ion batteries, part of a load that was represented as "Test equipment" going from LA AFB to Vandenberg AFB. 3,750# load. I was told there were less than 25lbs of Li batteries in the load and to inspect the batteries before loading.

And if the poster follows the link to the previous thread he will discover our converstation about Lithium Ion in particular creating a confusing between three different kinds of Diamonds. I don't know which diamond covers the other two and it's possible that all three would have gone onto that truck just to be safe.

That's why I argued against taking this load for my position. It's more trouble than it's worth. besides the US Military has moved them in the past in their trucks and they can very well move it themselves with a Deuce and Half very easily.

Any time I've been pressured, I've pushed back. One of the reasons I've spent more than a few nights at the motel 6 in Gorman just about 2 hours from the yard.. They'll push me to break the law, but I won't. So they end up paying for the room, or I file a complaint with the state/DOT.

Driving non-CDL since October. NPR-XD 16' box and Hino 24' box.
    No endorsements
DoT medical card (4mo for a sleep apnea test and renewing it this month for the 2yr card)
Making the decision in June for the CDL, most likely Jim Palmer (if they accept me now) or state sponsored job retraining. Worst case scenario, CRST or Swift as they'll send me a bus ticket today.

I second this. I've hauled batteries many times.....though one time I went to pick up a load of batteries and I got refused because my trailer was older than 10 years....geez I didnt know it was on the same level of roll stock
