Most Old Dominion (or other LTL sector) jobs will keep you local, or closer to home.

But to get them--you will need ALL of the endorsements: tanker, hazmat & doubles/triples.

It's really a good idea to go ahead and get those endorsements if you don't have them, anyway.

    They are money-makers............$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Hiring events don't "require" a RSVP. That's just for getting an estimate of how many people will show up.
Hiring events cost lots of money, so no one will be turned away.
One new cdl school grad went to one for Estes Express. He was hired. Surprised him and me because Estes Express advertises for one yr. experience. Any time you see a hiring event, just show up and might luck out.

Get all the endorsements as soon as you can. They lead to higher paying jobs

If the company is having a hiring event. They are desperate for drivers. IMO

If you go with one of the companies you listed there is about 80% chance you leave the industry before you get 1 year experience. Google trucking companies in your town, then call them. EVERY company is hiring.

The job I have now “required” 3 years of tt experience and 1 of fuel hauling experience.. I had 12 months to the exact date when I got hired…companies can want what they want but they can only get what applies… the ball is in your court… put in for the better companies regardless of what they want cause you may just get hired on.. Get your endorsements asap they’re making them harder to get but once you get em they’re easy to maintain.. if you do end up with one of the lower companies look at it as a 6 month internship…it may suck but spend those 6 months becoming a professional and not just doing it for the money then apply to other companies and see what you can get after 6… if nothing a lot better stay put continue to improve and learn the game and after 12 months the doors will fly open.. do not jump from one bad situation for another bad situation…there are plenty of great gigs out there also if you do end up at one of the lower companies talk to everybody you can you never know who knows who and most guys will tell you everything about their company..
