First half anyway, easy enough. Read the book a couple times, took the practice test on the TN DOT website, reread the points I missed until I got 100 on the test.
But then the real test was a whole different set of questions, and some different categories. Missed a few but passed. That'll get me started driving with my brother. (It'll be me training him since I've done all the trailer towing and he's just done some strait truck work, he wants me along for a few trips before he runs alone)
I know the road test will be easy since I can put a truck/trailer where I want it with ease, just have to get a hang of what they want in a pre-trip inspection.

New brakes for the trailer just arrived, get them installed and a few details finished on the truck, we'll be ready for an official inspection and maybe ready for first paying trip before another week goes by. I'm also installing an extra fuel tank, so it'll go a full day on one fill.
I don't think we'll have to drive this old beefed up ford for long, maybe a few weeks, I'll get the chevy fixed up with a cummins engine and good tough tranny and we can use it, with the ford for backup and sometimes dual, (my brother on one and I on the other) With a semi as the goal for another few months. (I can get one locally for $3,000 but I think it'll take at least $20,000 to bring it back up to road worthy, engine rebuild, new tires, etc.) I think we can prove that it can be done, starting with very little in resources, to a paid for semi in less than a year. No debt all the way. But it does require being a decent mechanic and living on next to nothing, which we've done for years anyway.
