Owing money will not be listed on your DAC.

Yes and no. Does it state eligible for rehire, or personal contact only?

My guess is if you owe money they'll let other employers know during the personal contact, and or they'll discuss the situation that lead to your unemployment. Sometimes whomever does the contact will be nice and help you out, other times they'll bury you, sometimes it's just dates. If your lucky they'll just do dates.

What they are going to do is tell any trucking company or other employer that you did not fulfill your obligation, meaning the 8 month contract. They cannot legally say you owe them money. Now when another trucking company hears this, they will either not really care s long as you have a clean driving record, a CDL and can pass their road test or they will view you as someone who can't do what they say they will and ask themselves what happens when the going gets tough here, such as when your at a truck stop 24 to 48 hours waiting for a load or your truck is down for a repair.

All these folks fail to realize there is a price to pay for making a commitment then jumping ship, good reason or not.
