Ok, so earlier this week I started at C.R. England School in Fontana, CA. Prior to getting hired I advised my recruiter, while I was living in Tennessee, California advised me that I had an unpaid ticket of many years and if I didn't pay it they would force Tennessee to suspend my license. Well seeing as I was in a driving position as my livelihood, I paid it and made sure my Tennessee license was never pulled, long story short, with an active and in good standing license in TN, CA had suspended my priveledge in CA for many years prior with out my knowledge. So I told my recruiter, I'm not sure how my MVR looks, but I've never failed one before, she looked it over and had a supervisor look it over and said it was fine. Go to the school, go to get my permit, no problem pass the test the first time no more than 1 mistake on each test, the school asks if I want to go in to the advanced program, I accept, I get essentially one day of training in the yard and I'm able to complete the controlled right turn, straight line forward and back, parallel park and alley dock all on the first try and every time after that. towards the end of the day the School director comes out and says I'm disqualified for the suspension on my license, If my recruiter can correct or clarify it that I'm more than welcome to continue where I left off. Well that was Thursday and I've not been able to get a hold of my recruiter and neither has the School. While I hope I can remedy this and get back in, if I can't whats my next step? I LOVE driving, and being on the road, are there any companies out there that might have a clue as to what the nightmare of the national driving registry can create despite ones excellent driving and safety record? Are there any O/O's out there who might let me ride along, do their pre trips and any other on-duty relataed tasks so that I can get some driving time without them using up on-duty time (14 hours a day/70 in 8 days)? I may be new to this but I have a lot of common sense and learn really quickly, and am quick on my feet. Any suggestions?
Got my permit, now what???
