Well today I received my call back from SRT. I was inquiring about their school and getting my CDL. I was told that since I was unemployed for a year that they cant hire me. That's to bad because now I am back to square one.

Didn't even get to tell them about what happened last year with my medical incident which has cleared up. They didn't want to talk anymore since the unemployment was over 1 year. 17 months to be exact.

I guess now I have to figure out another company that will provide training and an opportunity. FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Things happen/don't happen for a reason. You might end up with a better opportunity.

That's too bad ttwr.Hang on there you'll find a company, probably the next one you apply to.Wonder why you being unemployed for a yr is a problem. What does that have to do with going to their school.Just like drivers are required to put their 10 yr work history down its the law and still don't know why.If you leave gaps or don't add every job you're disqualified.

    ttwjr32 Thanks this.

Listen Bro I've got some Advice for you...
If your Hungry enough & Desire this New Endeavor of yours than Be persistent in your quest to Find a Trucking Company willing to put you through CDL School. You live in California than I encourage you to first Try Schneider in Fontana, Ca; Prime or England. Your 1st priority is Obtaining a CDL from One of these National Carriers & Once you obtain that Goal the Doors of Possibilities Open. Your not obligated to stay with them Once get your CDL but your first year is Vitally Critical in gaining the Experience in which is greatly recommend.

Staying with a Company for 1 Year helps Repay that $5,000 to $6,000 Loan by the Company your Employed with. Honestly I did the same 16 Years ago with CRST in Cedar Rapids, IA. I didn't finish the 1 Year so I had to Repay the $3,500 Loan which was a Bargain compared to staying at .20 per mile lol !!!

    Never Say Die !!!

Where is California do you live? We live in California and we are enrolled into Dootson School of Trucking. Very reasonable cost too! It's out of Arcadia. 1 on 1 training too.

BTW, I would stay away from CR England. Have heard nothing but HORROR stories about them.
