    also @Chinatown
all of the second chance company's run DAC just so you know its all over the apps. also Carolina logistics is a contract driver outfit. you have to start a llc up with them.. been fallowing a lot of stuff so i applied at the ones you have stated.. PTL is on my dac from 5 years ago so well see. (Fired for lie on my app) I guess stuff on your DAC does not fall off till the 10 year mark. I thought at 7 you could tell DAC to remove it but idk do you know for sure on this one??. time it seems on the dac helps drivers. just have to be able to wait it out.. also wanted to clear up a few things on the DAC report. if a company is on it from lets say 4 years ago. when a new employer sends them the background they cant release what company policy you may have broken only no rehire... so guys please just remember that..

P.S You rock man keep posting and if i am incorrect please correct me

I’m guessing that by “got sent home” you mean that you were sent home from Prime’s CDL school when they did your background checks, right? That means you must have left out information on your application or they would have never scheduled your orientation in the first place. So that plus the failed drug test is not just a red flag, it’s a gigantic flashing red billboard for potential employers.

Am I correct in assuming that you don’t have a Class A CDL?

The only silver lining you might have is that you were never hired by Prime, so technically you weren’t fired either. I can’t help with your DAC report question though, I don’t know how all of that works.

If you’ve given up drug use and haven’t gotten into any legal trouble recently (including traffic tickets) then you’ll just have to start reaching out to CDL schools and mega-carrier Student Driver programs to see what your options are.

The trucking industry is heavily regulated and companies are getting more and more strict with their driver vetting process. My advice would be to be completely honest and up front so you don’t end up in the same situation again. They will find out if you’ve lied or neglected to mention anything related to your application.

Also, @mitrucker wasnt being a prick when he said that drugs and trucks don’t mix, he was 100% right. Just do a search for how many posts start with “I’m a pothead and I want to drive a semi truck” and you’ll see why people get worked up over the same questions being asked over and over. It’s fine to come here asking questions, but your individual record and application is going to determine whether you get hired or not, not the opinions of other drivers online.
