Got sent home from Schneider training, what company should I go to now?

    I have not connected the dots and come up with the conclusion you have. But I do think there is something a little weird about it. Are schools so understaffed with the right people that they can't teach manual.

    I don't think so... that wouldn't make sense if you really think about it..... I'm learning on a manual transmission.. it's not that bad.. but then again I already knew how to drive a man. tran.

    @lovespink I don't much care for it. I am used to the gear slowing the truck down. Too much free wheeling. But I can see the advantages of mountain driving. I won't even mention the backing part.
    I am a flat lander and set in my ways.

    Lol... I haven't come across an automatic... but that may be because I'm new to this .

    You are learning the correct way imo and congratulations. Here is some biased advice. Don't step foot in an auto.

    If the guy is interested in flatbed work, boyd brothers has their main terminal right there in birmingham, melton alao has a terminal there down the street from boyd. Both take students and gave solid training prgrams. Transport America has a terminal right down the street as well, all three take new drivers
