So this is my first year filing taxes as a truck driver. I’m on my company paid per diam plan. I get paid .20 in per Diam and .20 in regular pay. So can i claim the standard deduction when I file even though the company paid me in per diam money already ?

Yes, you can take the standard deduction. Of course you cannot take the Perdiem deduction,

No offense to the truckers on here, but I don't believe any of them are tax experts. Hire a qualified someone to do your taxes.

Trust me on this. I let a family member who used to work foe the IRS do my taxes for 4 years. Ended up paying penalties and fees for a local school district tax that she claims to not have known about, but lived in the same district and paid the same tax.
