Hi, company driver here I work for an owner operator small fleet. I recently got stuck at a street intersection on a red light. The city didn’t clean the streets in that area was very bad and the truck wouldn’t move. Ended up needing a tow and I paid the tow truck driver to pull me out a few inches $600 to get me unstuck. Should I be paying the bill? Or should the owner operator I work for cover it?
Got stuck in snow and needed a tow.

I would eat the cost..more than likely the roads were really bad and since you said you got stuck in middle of intersection clearly shows it was bad..I would’ve stayed parked

I’m 1099 employee. Not sure if that’s worth noting

Had a driver once call me asking for a tow out of his driveway. I said who told you to park it there knowing it was going to snow? Grab a shovel and get to work or wait til it melts, your choice.

No such legal term as 1099 employee..1099 means you’re an independent contractor

DO not ever pay, it is on the fleet owner unless your contract says it is on you, so what does your contract say?
Constant Learner and Numb Thank this.
