    Pretty much anything not nailed down will grow wings and fly away.

    I worked in IT for like 7 years and mice/keyboards were constantly coming up missing. We always had way more computers than we had keyboards. People thought we were hoarding them or just being difficult, that wasn’t it at all. It’s just having the shortage of them was a huge PITA.

    It doesn’t matter where you work, every work environment has the same problem.. small things easily taken will disappear regularly.

    I wonder if it started as a theft thing, but as years went by, Americans started taking them out to keep the Mexicans from stealing them. Now everybody takes them out because they think the other will steal them.

    That being said, never underestimate the lengths Mexicans will go to to steal something. It’s not they are more prone to stealing than Americans, they just aren’t as lazy as American thieves.
