Thanks gang for the patience. I have been driving T/T for over 18 plus yrs but it has always been on the time clock and no more then 2 day routes in fla , ga, ala. I know the log book etc....
But, This is all new to me as far as 7-10 days out and 1 or 2 home.
I am sure that a lot of my questions will be answered in orientation but just wanted to get insight from the workers and not the suits. Also, it is unusual for a company to hold 2 weeks and pay on the 3rd? normally i am use to companys holding 1 week but I guess it does not matter unless there is a reason for it , maybe days away from terminal, Not sure. ANYWAY, I will be askin' bunches a questions over the next few weeks as I get into the job. Not sure if I picked a good one or not but its Southeast only and thats what I wanted so I have gone with LinkAmerica outta lakeland.

    Thanks for the help!!

Pay schedule varies from company to company.

Personally, I wouldn't work for anyone who held me more than a week behind.

7-10 days out ? That's usually code for, you can ask for home time after that number of days have passed. So you actually get home...several days later.

I wouldn't work for a company that didn't pay the same week. The ones that hold are con-artist. You quit and those 3 weeks disappear.

Rule of thumb is one day off for each week out. I once worked for a company that said you were home every weekend. I was too. I got home Saturday morning and left Sunday night. That sucks. :) I usually stay out 4 weeks to keep the pay coming. Then enjoy 4 days off.

Have you search this site for Link America ??

Have you searched the internet, just google their name ??

    If things shouldn't work-out there,
consider a company based in JAX.

    I wish you Luck !!
