    Dont go back in. Wait.

I think after this year is done, there will not too many left standing. All I see and hear of everywhere is a form of nuclear megatonage of funds, companies and so on being laid waste. Uncle Sam is not helping.

Capitol One had about 1.4% exposure by assets in the oil. When the prices crashed and their positions were sort of margin called they were faced with a billion dollar due by close of day.

You like the challenge of knowing what’s going to happen next? That’s an interesting perspective! I bought in on the 18th, with intentions of long term. But the first big rally had a nice squeeze on it, but I didn’t sell. Friday’s rally, then Monday and Tuesday, it’s tempting to sell and take the squeeze. But ehh, I’ll probably ride it out. The low I bought on hasn’t been reached since, so technically I would of lost some great positions.

so in the mean time while I’ve been home I’ve spent ALOT of time researching and observing news and previous trends. Big news channels, little news channels, economic news, watching the forums here and the load boards... the first big rally I could of sold and bought back in pretty close to when I bought in. I’ve spent so much time calculating the angles lol

You and your kind will keep doing the right thing until you're the only ones left doing any work. The top level skips you, makes friends with the bottom layer, takes your $ and gives it to the bottom layer, turns the bottom layer against you, now you are basically working for the bottom layer. Keep working and get drained, or give up and join the bottom layer. Not much you can do about it. It's textbook, clockwork, historical storybook. Top layer keeps milking the seat until the middle layer remnant decides to put their foot down and dig their heels in, top layer crosses the line one too many times and catches some middle layer teeth, top layer does something foolish, middle layer goes to knock on top layer's front door about it, back and forth until the dust settles and the heads stop rolling...round and around it goes. If you know where you are in the cycle you can frogger your way through most of the problems, if you're really smart you can get rich while doing it.

This system isn't anywhere near perfect but you see it can create a lot of wealth. Bottom guy or top buy it doesn't matter. If you want it, you can have it. In the long run it should build up to something you can retire and enjoy your golden years not working but pursue thing things you are interested in.

That's what we all work for hopefully achieving.

If you turn your back on the people that achieved that dream then you kill the dream for yourself.

Edit: I am not saying you or anyone reading is doing that, just sharing my throughs. I think people should take precautions and wear protective gear not for themselves, but for others.

Lot of concerns over that money. This will grind your gears. One friend, who does computer work free lance, has a printing customer, that still has the crew working in their firm. That bailout money was suppose to be for businesses that can't work, but don't want to lay off the workers. It's cheaper to do that, than pay all those people UC. This guy applied for a loan, which is nothing more than free grant money, and got the loan. So he's getting paid twice. It's simply deposited in your account from previous tax returns, or 1099's. People that get a paper check, will have to wait until Sept. ME? I'm gonna pi$$ it away. Me and people my age, have paid dearly over the course of our lives, with little ever being returned, gimme, gimme, gimme. Besides, what's 2 trillion dollars, when we're already trillions in debt?

I don't want it either, and it creates a problem if they put it in my checking account. I don't want to put the money into circulation because it's going to make all the other money worth less.

Truckers are by far the best savers I have ever seen. Five years ago I was broke and in debt after taking care of my 90 year old mom before she passed. I put my nose to the grindstone, lived out of my truck with the occasional hotel room, paid off the debt and should have about 100k before the end of this year. Plus I gave at least 10k cash to charity during this time, and I donated my modest house to a non profit. And I just found that my credit union is doing matching donations to the North Texas Food Bank. They will match dollar for dollar until the end of April up to 25k. So 25k will turn into 50. I' m keeping an eye on their daily tally of how much they raise. If they don't reach the goal I will swoop in at the last minute with my contribution. It might be a grand, it might be ten grand. I always decide at the last minute. Whatever I give always comes back to me. And then after I make my donation I will be disrespected by an ignorant person whose belly is full of the food from my generous gift. He will give me advice on how to live my life, how to conduct my affairs!

And I'm a lazy befuddled old man. Don't even know what city I'm in when I wake up or what day it is. Get treated like society's pariah. People say I'm no good, crazy as a loon. Just think what a younger person with their head screwed on straight could do.

I wasn't aware the government had any money, unless you mean the money they took to piss away like sailors on leave.

I'm paying for it as is most other taxpayers. I also make too much, I will not see a dime! It is interesting reading some of these comments.
