    I'm a current driver at GP and you get an average pay of 1100 per week over 3 months. They do not pay practical miles, (lose an avg of 200 to 300 dollars a week by shorthaul) they are trying to find every excuse to get out of paying the 6 CPM weekly bonus. They have a penalty charge back system, every thing is up for discretion. They can take 500 from your weekly check for there own equipment failures that's out of the drivers control or hands. They don't have a 1,000 weekly check, it's based off of weekly averaging, so you will never actually qualify for it. Miles and pay are really inconsistent, dispatcher can't get you home with an advanced home time request. Dispatcher paid on truck revenue commission, doesn't care that you the driver will suffer from the bad freight or brokered freight.

    Hi,

    We are sorry to hear you are not happy driving with GP Transco at the moment. We can assure you that it is in our best interest to give out an OTP (Outstanding Trucking Professional) bonus to our company drivers as much as possible – us paying the extra 6cpm weekly bonus means our drivers are performing at a higher level, which is great for the company AND the drivers. We have no reason to attempt to not pay the bonus – the only reason we came up with it is to allow our drivers to earn more for doing a good job. Also, we do pay PC Miler practical miles.


    When it comes to the $500 you are mentioning – frankly we do not understand what you mean; we do NOT charge company drivers for any equipment damages, failures, or anything else equipment-related. Those are costs the company eats since it is our equipment and we are responsible for it.


    Regarding the $1,000 minimum – this is for drivers who are available to work the entire work week and somehow did not get enough freight; it is extremely rare and as long as the driver averages less than $1,000/week for the past 2 weeks, he or she qualifies for this. But again, this is very rare since drivers earn over $1,000/week over 95% of the time. Dispatchers are paid a flat salary, NOT commission-based; you must be misinformed.

    How much? Is it weekly deduction or paid all upon starting?
