If you no specific desire both work well . 7750Cobra or 710 rand.you get used to working with one and that is what you like. I would look at truck stops for the 700 rand at discounted prices 250 to 350 then run the update downloads ending up with a bargain 710. The rand has some extras no one else does. I have a 7750 and it is doing a good job for me. 15 mile warnings for state line , wiegh stations, speed traps. Low bridge alerts saying how high, 12ft clearance. I was in a truck stop and a bridge alert popped up so I went out the way I came in, I don't look for trouble.

the alerts is all rand has that works.

don't get it. it has no idea how to get you anywhere.

my trip from vegas to phoenix was 80 miles longer the my phone nav.
i decided to take a middle route from both. rand took me into prescott where no man has gone before and had no idea how to get me out.

it also took me into a recreational camp spot when i left my pickup.

rand has no business being in gps. unless you don't mind the extra fuel and lost sleep.

i did ONE trip. it had 4 strikes and i returned it.

getting to know you stage 2. 5days with 7750 leaving the info box open tells me miles to n.ext weigh station, mile marker, nxt travel center, nxt rest area, and closest town at a glance along with all the normal display time local or term,2zones distance to destination time remain to dest, or arrival time in dest time zone. Plus active map nxt turn, sugg lane and pop up alert behind info box in this mode but don't need those on freeway, low bridge, speed alert etc. My truck is sloww. One touch on the screen brings those into view. This works for me very well. Have to touch a few on screen buttons to get the same info on the rands. No mistakes on routing yet but I. Tell the gps where an how to go not the other way around. When it agrees with me it is just a bit easier. I did have a 510 rand a while , 4 days, did not like as well. But to be fair it has more extras and takes somewhat longer to find all it can do, notebook calander, it does have one button to find walmarts stores, making that easy, no spelling. All what you learn to work with. I used a customized garmin for the last two and half yrs. Acouple over weight tickets cause I didn't find a scal before the weigh station conviced me to spend the money. You can't go wrong with these units. Oh the 7750 can be set for 5,10,15 mi alerts nice.

Don't know if you have bought your unit yet but you might want to check out Garmin's DEZL560LT. More fully functioned then the 7750 and has the informational databases that closely match the RM units. And....., if you are interested, the Garmin also has live free traffic ( in major metro areas) which no other truck specific device has. Not much more then eye candy in my opinion but it's there.

Tried the Cobra and screen resolution on the 7" is a joke. Bought a TND 500 and loved it and have upgraded to 710. Would never buy anything else. Small technical issue after being 5-months old with 500 and they sent me replacement.

I run up and down I-80 and I-70, and the occasional I-25 in CO, how do they work out there?
