In todays world I wouldn't trust to buy anything online.Walmart has some real good GPS.Petro sells truckers gps but very spendy.Hope you don't soley depend on the GPS to get you everywhere.

I got a Rand McNally 720, bought it about 1 month ago after my 500 took a crap on me

been happy with both of them
I know nothing about any other brand

    my 720 was $400 at Flying J
my 500 was a refurb from Rand McNally witch ran about $200 4 years ago

Learn to navigate with a map first...? I use a garmin trucker gps from pilot that cost maybe 200 bucks max. It does just fine if you have a little common sense.

I bought my rand McNally from best buy. Figured they are all over the country so if it fails (i paid a little extra for the 2 year geek squad warranty) I can just bring it in to any of the stores and get it replaced. I am very happy with it but Like any gps it has its flaws. A low bridge here or there or it will have me try and turn around in a tiny residential area. You cannot rely on any of them alone. Commen sense helps too. I usually punch in an address then once it decides a route I then take that route and compare it to the maps to confirm it is accurate. I really like the features for multi stop trips, finding truck stops around your route, and the large screen

How does that wifi work? You tie it to your phone and it gets the info that way or does it connect to the wireless network (like your phone)?

Lastly, to get the weather, does it cost extra?
