Hello I been working at a fairly small company (2 class a truck and couple straight trucks) and we been using GPS insight I recently got pulled over by a cop fishing up in Indiana and he said my eld was a AOBRD device so I had him talk to my boss and the guy didn't seem like he know his stuff and he said he pulls 3 others truck over that day with the same problems so I'm wondering if I should be worried about this going forward

Yes, you should actually be aware that the "AOBRD grandfather clause" expires in December 2019. Your device needs to be ELD capable/certified and you need to be using the ELD rules by then. Talk to your device provider.
