New to the industry and would definitely want to get a GPS unit. Now question is which one. I have narrowed it down to 2 of them.
[h=1]Rand McNally - intelliroute TND 720 7" GPS with Lifetime Map Updates[/h]Or
[h=1]Garmin - dezl 760LMT 7" GPS with Built-In Bluetooth[/h]
Any opinions on these two would be greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

There are two long-running threads for each with ALL the information you'll ever want. They are in this very forum just below your new thread.

Like is mentioned the 2 both have their good points and their weak[er] points. But for speed in routing I give the nod to Garmin, Garmin also has a (FM) traffic feature that works great that RM requires WiFi data for and the WiFi feature on the RM is sort of weak IMO and will crash the unit more often then not in dense urban areas.
I don't care about a bunch of POI's but others do, and RM has more POI's out of the box, but you can download and add POI's to either -
I've used both and they are both better than everything else.
If you want to save money you can get a Garmin DEZL 560 refurbished from Best Buy with lifetime map updates (make sure it says that because not all have it) for $199 and free shipping. Traffic receiver is included.
The RM also has an available traffic receiver that you can purchase separately. If you want to use the wifi version there is a small subscription fee. I would prefer to get the receiver rather than rely on my phone's wifi.
Some Best Buy locations have the RM 720 available at the store and you can walk in and buy one. If you don't like it you can return it to any Best Buy within 15 days for a refund.
Also, just in case it is important to you, RM's lead beta tester, Mark Kling, is a member on here and is extremely helpful. To me that is the number one selling point for the RM and it made it very difficult to return the RM 720, but at the time I was pretty tight on finances as I was just coming off of unemployment.TroyD Thanks this. -
