Also be aware, no trucker GPS is flawless. They will all do strange things (routings) from time to time

I'm not familiar with the RM's. On the Garmins, you are asked when you restart the device what mode you want to run in (assuming you have created any vehicle profiles). Looks like there would be a "mode selection" option somewhere so you would have the option to turn off truck mode and turn it back on if you were inclined to swap the device between vehicles. If there is, the video made no mention of it.

i.e Seems to me there should be a way to verify if the device is or is not in a "truck mode", just to feel more secure about what it is doing and that you've gone through the necessary steps. Just because I've gone through the configuration steps, does that mean it is now active?

Again. I don't own a RM TND any more but watching the video alone, I, as a new user, might have some questions and concerns regarding the truck mode feature. But I'm likely missing something that might be intuitive once in the GUI

 

They can always Turn on the Dock with the device connected. On the Dock you can see the manual (100+ pages), start the manual, then simply save it to your computer since it is a PDF.

If the OP will start a conversation with me and give me the serial number of the device and their E-mail, I can send them the PDF.
