    Hi all,

    I am getting my CDL in about two weeks. I am looking for a good local company that will hire a new graduate for local hauls. I'd prefer a HAZMAT, Tanker type of job. Can someone point me to some good companies that will hire a new CDL graduate?

    @Adriank do you think somebody will give you hazmat haul when you don't have driving experience? can you imagine crashing a tanker full of gas in town ? start with non hazmat job. quick question can you drive manual transmission truck ?

    Yeah I know of a couple fleets up here that would, it is so stupid too, the drivers last about a month and that's it.

    I know at least one company that did, even let him try and run the haul road, it didn't work out so well.

    @mhyn yup getting my CDL in manual transmission. I have already talked to one company who told to come and talked to him once I have my CDL.
