Grandfather clause and new regs question

    I have my permit, Had to drop out halfway through school. Found a company willing to get me licensed but my question is, if I renew my permit will I still fall into the old regs (grandfather clause) or will I fall into the new reg from Feb 7th. Any info will help. Any info posted please cite so that I may share it with the company. Thanks.

    Question 4: If an applicant held a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) before February 7, 2022, and obtains his or her commercial driver’s license (CDL) before the CLP expires, will he or she be exempt from the ELDT requirements?
    Guidance: Yes. If the applicant obtains a CDL before the CLP or renewed CLP expires, the applicant is not subject to the ELDT requirements.
