Grandma Debi did the CR England lease thing with Virgil

I know I can't be the only one who thinks this thread is a "work."

 

I've worked with plenty of these guys in painting & construction ... and you know what? They still get paid jack-#### whether they're illegal or just "brown". And why is that? Because employers can get away with it. I could go on and on but I'll spare y'all.

The change has to start somewhere, maybe with our employers, maybe with us. But as long as it is acceptable to hire illegals we will have a) low wages, b) qualified people being put out of work because illegals are cheaper, c) more illegals entering this country because they will get hired, d) nothing will get better about this situation ever.

Part of my family immigrated here 70 years ago and they did it right - got legal at the dock and went to work at the mill in Aberdeen, WA and paid taxes, etc. Why? Because it was the right thing to do. No one now gives a #### about what's right, only "how can I make some more money" regardless of the expense.

Sorry for the rant.

 

What is with all of the "God Bless" stuff on this thread? Who signed the lease for them? God? God has absolutely nothing to do with success in business - believe me. Their success will come from creative ways to control overhead, revenue generation and smart planning - that's it. No one is going to hand you squat you need to go out and get it and take it. Or, you can sit back and fail and say "Well, that must have been God's will." Or succeed and attribute none if it to yourself, rather God, and as a result set yourself up for failure in the future because you DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE WHAT EXACTLY IT WAS THAT YOU DID THAT MADE YOU SUCCESSFUL.

Guess I'm a little full of #### today, sorry. I just want GD&V to realize that regardless of the outcome THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT.

Getting those Oil Co. ###### (aka Big Oil purchased politicians) out of the White House should help more. If these people started a grassroots campaign to lobby and really do something about this, they would be more successful. Oil prices have gone down recently for one reason: oil consumption has decreased by 2% over last year in conjunction with talks of domestic drilling (fat chance).

 

Not to mention there's an election coming up.

 

Maybe BIG OIL secret police nabbed Grandma Debbi and Virgil and hauled them to the BIG OIL secret island gulag and are retraining them to go out and spread the virtues of BIG OIL.

This thread is dying a longgg, slowww, painful death. Have to tip my hat, it was a nice recriuiting effort gone awry! Have to admit, it was entertaining at first. The ending was just too predictable.
