Hello everyone..... I am still out here with ole Harold. It has gone okay except for the day he spilled pickel juice all over the bed. :biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518:We just finished going CA to laredo TX not so cold here so that's better!!!

I have not heard from or about Pedro.... He drives a company truck but it is very nice and fixed up he was offered to continue with one that really smelled bad, one that had a light out, or one that did not want to start He waited for his own and I got sent with Harold.

My $181 seemed great since I had been spending not getting since my arrival at the UTAH school. I think I got $25 for the waiting days. I still have to finish training with Harold - pass more tests- and spend time in the CAT program before I get real pay. Thats okay where else can you start a new career/profession and get paid anything the first month?

I really like driving the truck and I am starting a journal about good and bad truck stops and rest stops. It was a little scary being in the truck stop alone for two days in New York while Harold went home.

I am not using a "handle" yet but it will probably be grandma Debi unless I lease that pretty pink CRE truck just kidding:biggrin_25524: No lease for me.....

Thanks for the encouragement! Blessings to all! Debi!

grandmadebi, I love your positive attitude! When reading all the negative posts that people leave on websites such as this one, you have to wonder how much their own attitude played a part in their unfavorable experience with a particular company. I don't personally know anything about the company you chose to drive for, however, I have seen a lot of negative information about it, but I believe if you are able to keep your optimism going, it will get you through! Keep us posted, and let us know where to find your journal if you choose to post it. Stay safe out there!! :biggrin_25514:

Grama you got to be kidding.

You could go to McDonalds for mim wage and make more than that and not risk your life with strangers or 2 days at a New York truck stop alone or on the road with a 10 ton rocket.

Don't get me wrong I'm happy as pie you are happy, but I feel you are sugar coating your real feelings.

    Fast calc: 40 hrs X $7.50 # McD's = $300 - 20% taxes + $240 net
You put more in hour wise than that too!:biggrin_25513:

My hubby worked for CRE very briefly and it was awful he has been with Swift and hasn't had any problems with them at all they have been great with him. He decided to try Swift after talking to several of the drivers (mind you I said DRIVERS not recruiters I think the recruiters are full of it) and it has worked out for us. :biggrin_25522:
