I put in many apps, but am a newbie. I got no responses. It is towards the end of the year, and I hear hiring will be slow until the new budgets kick in next year.

I've heard some bad about the midland yard, but that was over a year ago. If you have oil field experience you can probably find a better company after you get down here. RV lots are running around $500 per month including utilities.

I heard something from a driver out of Midland. He claims crude haulers are rushed at the LACT. Once you hook up and get the pump running a timer starts and after 30 min the timer shuts down. This sounds like BS, why would a company buying oil want to leave oil on a tanker just because it took longer than 30 min to unload?

Depending on the amount of driving you want to do, you can get lot rent and utilities in Big Spring starting at $250 a month and going up from there. 37 mile's to Midland, I know it's more driving, but if your just starting out on a limited budget, it may be worth it.

google map's says 40 miles city center to city center. One of the signs says 37, but both towns are kinda spread out.
