    Time for an update...

Spent most of first week in an orientation like setting completing paperwork, safety videos, ride alongs, etc. I'm told that as soon as equipment comes in I will be off and running. They are converting their trailers with the necessary components for hauling crude. Mostly just adding on centrifuges. Seems to be a back order for almost everything oilfield related right now. Terminal mgr says that they plan to do as much hiring in October as they can because their customer expects a certain number of loads per day and they are just a little shy of that number. Also, once Midland/Odessa is fully staffed the customer is requesting operations in south Texas and western Oklahoma. After the end of the day yesterday I was invited to hangout with some of the office people at a local bar that was having steak night. It was a reassuring opportunity to spend time outside of work with dispatchers, shop guys, and the safety mgr. Everyone is hard working and down earth. I would really like everyone that is interested in coming aboard to send me a PM because I would get a referral bonus. I think I have responded to 5 or 6 people on here so far but the terminal mgr told me that nobody has called that I referred....what gives?? Anyways, I will be back in a week or two with another update...

:biggrin_25523: That would be too easy. If you have your own camper it might be a possibility. Else the housing up here is always at 100% occupancy.
