probably you re right , but it all depends on the insurance company requirements , most companies dont have control on this.

I don't see how that will be a problem. I'll just retake the HazMat test and breeze through it like I did this past week.

Thanks for the suggestions Patt52. I've been checking Craigslists for Texas and seen the ads for those companies too. So I'll put them on the list to apply to.

If you want to stay closer to home, stop in NW LA and look around before you go all the way to Midland. There's still a lot of activity going on in the Haynesville play and some of those companies that work in East Texas are based out of the Shreveport/Mansfield area.

Driving school was over Friday and I now have my CDL w/tanker, hazmat and doubles & triples. Clean record with no experience. I live in Rowlett, Tx about 20 east of Dallas. I'm headed out Monday morning 6 am to get a job, preferably in a water tanker as a starting point. Reading here and looking elsewhere online I have determined that walking into a company's office for a face to face is the way to go. Long days or nights, 7 days a week is NO SWEAT, but I own that home in Rowlett and don't wish to relocate. I need the names and locations of at least 10 companies within 60 miles of 75089. I know they are out there but have no clue where. Your help is appreciated.

    Happy trails.

There is a lot of guys working here in the West Texas oilfields that live out of town like Ft Worth or Oklahoma etc. They work 2weeks on and one week off. It's just a thought.

your gonna have to come west to find a water tanker job. they arent drilling east of fort worth, unless you want to go to Louisana. Stallion in Decatur is hiring, # 940-210-2249. but your gonna have to come in person. i cant see you living in rowlett, and making the drive up here everyday.

    jvar4001 Thanks this.

Texas Frac Fluids is in Center and I've heard they are always hiring water drivers. Center is a bit southeast of Longview.

I just re-read this entire thread again to get more info out of it. I'm going to be making the move from GA to TX this next week and want to get ready. I saw the posting from MattMichigan about the place he works for and how they are looking for drivers for OK, I'm also interested in this but couldn't PM you for the info. If you could PM me I would appreciate it.

    Thanks and drive safe.
