Seems like the wrecks keep getting bigger and bigger. Maybe we just hear about them more because of internet. Hard to believe they crash in the tunnel. That can’t be good outcome plus looks like fire.

 

Too many of these drivers follow too close, and if something happens, where one of them has to tap the brakes for whatever reason usually a chain reaction occurs after it

 

I was coming through Joliet today in the right lane and there were 3 trucks in the middle lane all running 20-30ft apart at most. They must figure the computer will apply the brakes for them.

 

Was running 44 south today down towards texas. I saw DOZENS of trucks bumper to bumper in giant conga lines or trying to overtake each other with inches to spare. Tons tailgateing my max legal weight 80k slow ### as well. They also LOVE to pass and cut infront of you with just enough room to slip a shaved peice of rice paper between the rigs. Then stomp the brakes.

The roads are starting to resemble those videos you see of 3rd world ####holes where there are just wrecks and bonkers driving every day. Honestly, we need more bears out and need to see more CDLs going up in smoke.

 

It is not reopened. There is structural damage to the north tunnel.
