Greetings everyone!
I'll start out by introducing myself. My name is Cary Davis, I am currently in the director of safety position for a division of a larger parent company. My division conducts mainly household goods moving servies for military members. I have been in the trucking industry as a warehouseman, driver (pre and post CDL), fleet manager, and safety professional covering a total of 23+ years.
I post here on the Truckers Report at times because I find a broad base of subject material that is both relevant in my companies line of work and of personal interest. I try as best I can to be proactive in training people to understand current regulations (like them or not), to assist other safety proffesionals (if I can), and provide insight (if possible) concerning all matters to new drivers who may have questions or concerns, and providing a sounding board for andyone who may be seeking help wading through the FMCSA and CSA regulatory issues.
I do not, and will not take anything said on a personal level, and will always make every attempt to stay on topic and remain corgial with others who are like minded. I am not here to argue with anyone, nor will I be drawn into that scenario.
With that being, a few of the people posting here have gone out of their way to track me down at my place of business, wade through the phone lines from employee to employee to get to the me at my desk only to have them misrepresent themseleves as a spokesperson for "The Truckers Report". I have ended up listening to an indvidual who is extremely disgruntled about certain posts I have made, used derogitary comments and remarks, and moving forward I will not be accepting phone calls of any nature from individuals of this or any other forum. I will however be glad to corrospond with you via email on a personal level if you wish not to speak here. I will ask that you represent yourselves proffesionally and avoid sending rants as these will only endup in the waste basket without a reply.
Please remember I use this forum for bouncing ideas, thoughts, concerns, opinions, and/or seeking and providing an outlet for every day concerns all of us face in the trucking industry. I am in no way advising you to follow anything I state for training or legal expertise. I suggest you seek your own training proffesional and/or legal council for those matters.
I hope I am able to add value to this forum through my experience.
Have a safe day!
Cary Davis
