I finally decided to formally announce my arrival to this forum. I'm not usually into the hail and farewell areas, but some of you may be seeing my name pop up often and begin to wonder who this punk is.

Name is John and I hail from the southwest Virginia, but I grew up in upstate New York (I'm a yank. Oh no!). I work for a small company out of Minneapolis, MN as a lease operator and travel all around the US east of the Mississippi. Thankfully, I steer clear of the New England area.

I am prior Air Force and proud of it. I have been around the world and experienced some remarkable things, my favorite being Italy. I love Italian food. Republic of Korea was my second favorite place, but the memories from there are a bit fuzzy from to many alcoholic beverages. Japan is a fun place too, pretty women all over.

I've been driving for eight years now and have been both a good and bad driver (currently, I'm on my good side). I do whatever I can to provide for my family. I may not see them often but they are taken care of.

Politically (you'll see me a lot in that area), I am a Democrat with conservative intentions. What does that mean? I have ties to the military and the trucking industry and support both to the fullest, but I do not agree with how the Republicans have been running the country. I like President Barack Obama and think that the direction the US is heading in is a good one. Are we talking New World Order? Who knows? It will happen someday, why not today?

Religion is the only subject I steer clear from. Wars have been waged and remain unsettled over religious disputes. Tis better to just concede that everyone has their own belief and respect it. No one knows for sure who is right or wrong. Why fight over it?

I enjoy humor and irony, it makes for a better day if you can smile.

    With that said, hello all!
