Is your friends truck the A Model with the 3408 and twin stick?

 

Those A Models are red hott right now. Super expensive for a broken down version of the Snowman.

That particular paint scheme was a special order back in its hay day. There was a premium up charge for those colors. So many guys wanted and ordered that scheme that they eventually made it a special package when ordering. It came with a gauge package and some other small details which made that setup unique. Oxblood interior instead of plain black was also included with that paint package

 

That A model i posted is a company truck. They have at least 3-4 different ones I've seen. Most of them are purple. I know ones a 1980

 

1981 was their final year, so them having later body style like that took a good amount of effort. Effort well spent. IMO

 

With 967k on the clock it surprises some people as I wave goodbye.
