Ooooookkkkkkk, I wonder what the officers were really thinking while the person was walking up to them with that thing.

I'm not giving mine up, after all, Hillary has to fly sometimes.

That's hilarious and scary at the same time. How the heck do you get a surface to air missile?

Looks more like an anti-tank rocket similar to an AT-4 but the shape doesn't look right. Surface-to-air (sholder fired type) missles are skinier so they can maneuver easier as it doesn't take much explosive to knock an aircraft out of the sky. The article didn't say whether the rocket was still in it or not. Since she tried to take it to a dump instead of EOD, I would say not. A spent cartridge like that is not dangerous but they are usually accounted for and turned back in when fired for training. I don't see what the big deal is, I have claymore mines with the C-4 removed that I use for training, as well as a grenade, also with the explosives removed.

Even had the ATF search my house when I was stationed at Ft Bragg because the training aids freaked out one of my neighbors. Fun, fun, fun!! The agents and I got a good laugh about it all after the pucker factor went down.

I have a feeling the ATF would have some questions, especially if the thing is live. lol I doubt it was a live weapon. If it was they wouldn't be parading it around like that.

It looks damaged (the front cover is bent & mangled) and rather old & beat-up. Someone probably got it for a couple dollars at a surplus store or something like that.
