Oh yes. Good old Port Authority. The northeast is tolling us like there is no tomorrow. PA and NYC keep raising the tolls all the time and the roads keep getting worse. Its to the point I don't blame people for not wanting to come up here. Unelected scumbags padding their own pockets while the commute times keep getting worse and not coming up with ideas to replace the existing infrastructure that is crumbling. Nope. Build up the new Trade Center that is only symbolic and not practical because of what they are planning on charging the tenants.

The article said the Port Authority had a profit margin of 31% last year.

Crazy I remember when I started it was only $20 and that was less than 20 years ago.

Just increase your fuel surcharge charge to compensate for the toll increase. Good old NY, yeah I don't miss high tolls, high taxes, high gas prices. Nope not at all.

A round robin threw 3-4 boroughs gets pretty pricy. Anything to NYC should have $150 toll surcharge .....

The last time I crossed it it was 7 bucks and they said it was going to 20 !!!
I said 7 bucks was to much and I was not ever going to pay 20 bucks to tear up my truck so I have not been back !

As far as I am concerned if they want to buy groceries they can drive to Columbus Oh To get their stuff because that is now my east coast.
That is farther east than I really want to go !!!

That's just WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say all trks stay out of the Northeast.Trks get the shaft big time while cars only have a 75 cent increase. All that money they bring in and I don't see an improvement on the roads. They keep the money for their own personal selfishness and GREED.Its been awhile since Ive been to the east and you can bet the next company I drive for it won't be east runs.I have always had an issue with tolls even with a transponder because a good portion of the money isn't going for the roads. This is one of many reasons why the east has a lot of money.A driver in this story says it cost him$400.00 in tolls everytime he goes to the east.Thats a lot of money. Can you imagine what the GW bridge makes hourly.

So did they raise the other tolls, like the 3 from Jersey to Staten Island, and did they raise the East River/Long Island Sound tolls? Verrazano was 80 bucks going from Brooklyn back out towards Jersey. The 3 going in were all the same as the GWB.
