I have a question, I got a dmv printout and on my medical card section it had a R for restriction. I called the dmv and they said it's for glasses. Would that be it or did the dmv person overlook that part? I went to swift to start there but didn't pass my hearing thing because I was getting over a cold so she said I had to take a hearing test before I could drive. But they didn't say anything about it on there just glasses I guess.

Sounds like you are talking about two different things. The only thing the dmv cares about in regards to the medical is do you have it, and when does it expire. They don't have any of the details (yet, coming in the next few years)

Did you get a medical card from the DOT doctor? If so, simply self-certify. If not, you will need to do what is required. Maybe call the clinic and see if you can retest now you no longer have a cold.
    Also, what state?
