Delivered this morning and then picked up my load of scrap that I dropped in Flagstaff and then hooked up to my current load. It was snowing pretty good when i came through making the drop lot a mess. After I deliver this I'll finally get my safety meeting in for the quarter. I'm now also preplanned until next Wednesday. Picking up in Green Bay going down to Elwood, IL where I think I'll be dropping and hooking going to Assonet, MA for 1700 Wednesday night. From there, who knows. It's just another good week of miles before the holidays. Be safe all.
H.O. Wolding is a GREAT company!

Change of plans. Getting some chow while I wait on another driver bring me my new load going to Georgia, VT for Wednesday. My original load wasn't going to be ready until later today. I also brought an empty trailer for Tori so that she could go pick her load going west, it was nice to put a face with a name. Have a safe drive out there. At the safety meeting I was also told that I will have a newer truck when I get back to the yard so I can continue to go to California. $1000 fine for our trucks that are 2004 and older if they go out there.

Thanks for the trailer and it was nice meeting you. Great dog!! Finally got loaded in Green Bay and now I'm racing the storm to Arizona

Posted up in the rest area in Little Falls, NY for the night. Much to my surprise, there was quite a few spots open this late so i swiped one. Excited about tomorrow, going up through the Adirondacks to Plattsburgh and then taking the ferry across Lake Champlain over into Vermont. $47 and my dispatcher just said make sure to get a PO#. Should be fun.
As for my pooch, he is a good boy and an excellent security system. I get great sleep at night. Looked at the weather, and it looks like I got out of that Wisconsin to Arizona groove I've been in time. Be safe out there. -
I'll have my dog with me in a couple weeks! I can't wait. My dog is a 35 lbs English ####er named Monty 5 years old. I miss him lots being out here! How big is your dog and do you use anything special with your seat so he fits in it right? I'm trying to get idea's. Thinking of making a board that fits in the seat up to the dash and having a dog bed on it? I find the seat is just a little to small for him to be comfortable. Anyways time to hit the bunk here in Fond U Lack!

Mine is about 50-55 lbs and I also thought about the board. I just put a dog bed on my seat and strapped it to the seat with mini bungee cords and then put a pillow on the armrest. He seems to like it, at least that's what he says.

Quick HOW question for new(ish) hires. How strict are they on needing the 10 year work history? Is it attainable through Soc Sec or IRS? Cannot remember. 29 year old driver who had LOTS of little jobs during college etc.
-
They do check your work history and do call your past employers. You can get your history from the IRS.
Kutina Thanks this. -
Well I am now having quality time in Tucumcari, New Mexico. 15,000lbs in the box and 65mph winds do not make for a fun ride. Not making Bellemont tonight.
leylandauto and Weeble Kneeble Thank this. -
Thanks Bram. Going to contact SSA and IRS to see who might be quicker. His current employer will give him a stellar reference. Stay safe tonight.
