Where are you from, Midwest? 3000 to 3200 sounds OK for being out 2 weeks and then you're home for 3 or 4 days if you want is that correct? A steady run of Midwest to the south or Southeast wouldn't be bad. My luck it'd be Midwest to Northeast and New England instead. That's what I figured on the West runs it'd be a fluke to go out there.
Thanks again
H.O. Wolding is a GREAT company!

Yep for the first month and a half I did two weeks out 2 days home and I made some decent money. I was on that southeast - south - Wisconsin triangle. This run to New York is the first time I've been this far east since I did the CA to PA run with my trainer.
My home base is in southern Michigan. -

Yeah I went through watertown... I didn't see a scale there.

When I first started, I wasn't going to California on a regular basis. My first trip after I got my truck was out there, but it was so that I could see my girlfriend before Christmas, and who I hadn't seen since August. There were times in the first 3-6 months where I would stay out in the northeast for a couple weeks, not by choice. I didn't whine, rolled with the punches, even did a couple days of empty trailer moves just so I wasn't sitting (both radios were off that day). But this helped build a trust factor with them and I ended up getting more and more west coast runs. Really all I would do in the way of complaining I guess was send a Qualcomm message saying "send me west next chance you get". Ask my girlfriend, she'll be the first one to tell you it hasn't been all roses and lollipops, but it works out pretty well now. Just had to pay my dues.
As far as the northern New York and the fuel escapade, my rule of thumb is if I'm going off beaten path, get fuel before going off beaten path. I also took the southern route along 90-87 with a couple of back roads in between Rio get to Lake Champlain, but that was to avoid a snowstorm and ended up getting fuel in Fultonville.
I had a trip last summer from Green Bay to LA and the only TWO fuel solutions I was given (filled up in De Pere) were Hooker, OK and Barstow, CA. Both of those stops were over 1000 miles in between. Each one was 160+ gallon fill up.
New York, for the most part just has mobile scales, that's why we take most of our heavy water loads that way.
As far as reefers, we have 12-15 of them. Haven't had one in a while either, but most of those leave on Saturday from Wisconsin to California. All about timing. -
Also, another reason I don't like running out east, is all of the construction. Sweet baby Jesus, they love it east of the Mississippi.
The Challenger Thanks this. -

I had a 40% on my fuel solution last quarter (a month of work because I was new) because I didn't realize it was a huge deal where or when I got my fuel. So now I'm super cautious about it and really try to fuel only when and where they tell me. I've had to change it a couple times, but this time I figured they knew what they were doing. Turns out they did, it was just REALLY close.
