Gotta love yard gossip, you hear some real good stuff. Especially if you have the right people there talking.

Thanks to all of you Wolding drivers. This is a very informational thread and I hope it keeps going. Weeble you've been a big asset to Wolding in this thread I don't think they'll forget that either. I wish you the best of luck and yes stop by here when you can.

Finishing up my reset in the yard and yes this time I will remember not to leave before 5am. Grabbing an empty trl in the yd for a live load in Beaver Dam, WI and heading to California. At this point I would like to thank the load planning gods for a break from the "every road east of the Mississippi is under construction" syndrome.

Arrived at shipper. Cannot be more than 15 mins early or more than 15 mins late or appointment will be rescheduled. Sat at a Walmart and arrived 9 mins early for 1300 appointment. Yep Im thinking I'm a rock star! Well the appointment was apparently at 1000. So put on my humble and their loading me.

    Good grief

At least you're getting loaded. Who botched that dispatch? Now will that be a ding on you for missing the appointment time?

That shipper is wicked picky about stuff too. Shawn said we were having issues with them and were taking less loads at one point. Good thing is the receiver is really pleasant and a breeze to get unloaded. 30 minutes tops. And they'll take you early.

    Bram Thanks this.

I don't think it was dispatch that messed it up, more likely the load planner. Someone just keyed in the wrong time. I try never to place blame in those situations since it could be anyone's mistake including the shipper. Could be my time was right and their people entered it wrong. You just never know.

It won't affect my ontime performance since that was the time on my preplan. I just apologized for the confusion.

I completely understand their 15 min rule. There really is no place to park without being in someone's way. Had a couple of trucks show up before I left and I could see how just one more would jam things up.

thanks for the heads up on getting unloaded early. I'm in Newton Iowa for the night with my mouth watering thinking about burglars in Texhoma

Made it to Fontana, sadly no parking at the receiver so Im at some weird little truck stop about a mile away. $10.00 to park but worth it since I have no clue where else I would have gone. Parking is getting tough out here.

This thread slipped my mind for a while. Whoops! Nothing has really changed on my end. Except now I'm at the yard and I've been here since Saturday. They didn't get my truck in until this morning, which wasn't a big deal because I stayed at a hotel in Stevens Point anyway. But I'm going to be here until tomorrow at noon probably... Which kinda sucks. Do they give us detention way while we're at the yard?

Not detention pay but you should get reset or layover depending on how long your there.

I've decided California should be its own country

    Weeble Kneeble Thanks this.
