Actually I spoke with the labor board in WI and they stated that they believe he was let go illegally.

I do hope that you will have a case. I don't like hearing about companies firing people for noe reason.
However, as I said, with WI being an at will state, HOW doesn't need a reason.
    Good luck.

Just move onward and upward,...............you can't sue !!!!

Page 5 of their application is the statement,

you or they can end the relationship (employment) at any time, for any or no reason..........

Good Luck, you can do better anyways.

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

You need to do your own background check.

You need to get that military serice deal straightened out, then your DAC can be corrected.

Appling to other companies, before you get this straightened out is fruitless.

Hint..........Military uses your ss number for a serial number.

Unless you and your father have the same ss number, which you can't, somethings fishy !!!!!

They may have just used that as an excuse !!!!

Thank you everyone for the information about the DAC. I am new to this trucking stuff and wasn't even aware of this, so again thank you. We have ordered a report and we'll see what it says.

Unless they thought he had a dishonorable discharge, why would they care if it was "omitted"(since I can't think of any reason someone would 'lie' about it, most are very proud of it)?...Don't companies get some type of brownie points for hiring VETs?...

    Snoogler and Oldironfan Thank this.

The opening paragraph of their application states,

veterans MUST furnish a copy of their DD214.

They thought he fudged , I guess !!!!

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

I had issues with WS for not having a Selective Service number...I entered the Army when I was 17 1/2, and honestly, never knew I needed one(back then, or after I served)...I provided my DD214 but then had to get a waiver for not having a Selective Service number...
