So, I just came across their add for truck driver trainees and I guess all they require is a permit to start training also they said they train locally, anybody familiar with this? Can anybody tell me more about it?

Drivers there seem happy from the ones I talked to. They haul a lot of paper products. They make you parallel park during the road test. That's all I know.
-
Interesting, a few years ago they had their own school in Amherst WI at the headquarters. I wonder if they're getting it back or are they going through a school in the area. Where did you see the ad at?
-
I am in Mississippi so it's for South East regional.

I was more thinking about the whole truck trainee part as it seems odd to me.

They do have tuition reimbursement for certain CDL schools. Maybe that's what the mean by trainees. Can you post the ad.?

TRUCK DRIVER TRAINEES NEEDED NOW AT H.O. WOLDING Earn $800/wk Local CDL Training NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Be trained & based locally!
thats pretty much all it says. -
It looks like they'll send you to a local school to get your CDL. I'm sure that's unpaid time. The only way to find out is call them and get the details. I know they have tuition reimbursement and one of the best repayment plans but if they pay the upfront cost of the school you'll probably wind up with a contract for a year or so. If they don't require a contract and are picking up the tab that would be a great deal.

Yeah it's the contract thing that I am most concerned with. As I will be moving back to California soon and hence that would not make sense for either party.
