First off great job standing up for your driver.

Why would required bathrooms negate the penalties to a bad driver? If a driver damages anything at a customers they are held responsible. Does it matter if it's a dock improperly backed into or a toilet seat, they and their company are financial responsible for damages.

"A study found that people who regularly held stool in the colon permanently inflamed the inner lining of the colon and had an increased bacterial count. Both of these are risk factors for developing colon cancer."

I worked my way up to a high paying jobs that brought me home weekly. Colon cancer ended that and much more for me. But hey I held it in. I only had to do the parking lot/bucket thing after the cancer had started to develop unbeknownst to me. But at least companies didn't have to treat me like a human, after all I was just a driver.

Don't confuse "I don't want the govt involved" with "you should not have a bathroom to use."

Don't confuse somebody's house and the mailman with a giant Warehouse and paid contractors.

Not every business is the same kind of business. Not every person in a business is an employee. That's why law books are so big and not just a 1-page checklist.

That's where we are headed when the "govt can fix every problem" and the "world should provide for me" people each take turns getting "just one more thing" which NEVER EVER ENDS. We'll have electrodes in drivers' brains to monitor fatigue AND allow THC use when not on duty so the crying THC worshippers get their way. There doesn't have to be A PLAN where the final item on the list is some nightmarish future, EVERYBODY just asking for "one more thing" can bring us to the same outcome as if some evil genius was making us all move like his puppets.

    That’s not a fair comparison.

As to the bathroom issue you’re opposed to the gooberment getting involved and that’s all well and good, but then you mention marijuana where people again want the gooberment to butt out, but that’s somehow a problem this time around.

Can we at least try to be consistent?

This is a great example of why it doesn't really matter if the shipper/receiver has bathrooms available or not because as you've stated, animals will animal no matter what's there for them.

The brain implant to detect sobriety & alertness is a predicted future feature that results from the alternating demands of the "govt should do X" and the "safety sallies" and "treat THC like beer" crowds each getting what they want. It's not me supporting any of those examples. I don't support govt mandating customers provide bathrooms to drivers because the govt mandating is enough to oppose the whatever comes after the "govt requires". It's not a demand or desire to stop truck drivers using customer bathrooms. Parents should love & provide for their children. I support that. The govt should not pass a law listing what parents must provide, even if the list at the start only requires parents provide love & clean drinking water. Because the govt list will grow & grow % grow and what starts as something obvious & good will quickly become 809 items pushed by commies & kooks & industry for their purpose & only pretend to have anything to do with the original purpose. It will also increase govt prying into EVERYTHING if any busy-body anywhere, including celebrity 'mental patients" chasing the newest free-range, holistic, gluten-free, chakra-aligning yoga.

Its a bad idea because it's getting more govt, not because drivers aren't worthy of clean bathrooms. I don't want the govt in more things. I want everyone behaving as good adults in a shared community of good adults. The govt is the most destructive force in society other than those wanting a totalitarian govt.
