on nearly all applications i would fill out, over the years, many ask, "list any accidents, and at fault or not"

some recruiters of HR people may also ask, nearly demand a police/accident report as well.

good luck. you should still be able to gain employment.

And triple 6 you not a buster. I have coached high school football in Texas for over 26 years. I have been yelled at, cussed at, one year during play offs at half time somebody threw some items at us and it was a tie game at half. I thank you for your help and comments. Most insurance companies look for a max one 'at fault' accident in the past 3 years...that's why they ask for the PD reports. You should be ok.

Most of the time vehicle #1 is on the left and isn't at fault., when you get the report, ask for the 'key' which shows the meaning of the little boxes down each side because that can also show fault.

Always get the report and keep it for the next time you fill out an application.

Again thanks to all of you. I have a company I believe I want to work for. I had decided on them before the wreck. I called him after speaking with all of you. He said one wreck, n even if it came out not in my favor that he can still put me to work. So that a bright spot to my day. Lol, after speaking with y’all I go to get into my car for baseball practice n I have a flat tire. Surely my luck has got to change. But thanks again you are some of the most knowledgeable n helpful people. Hopefully someday I can return a favor to everyone of you in some way.

If I were making a guess, I'd say you have a chance especially if you arent at fault. It may not necessarily be a dream company to start with though. My logic is weird but there are guys who have jack knifed and rolled trucks get jobs, so I'm of the impression, " why not you?" If you don't have your license, get it. Take one step at a time. Don't worry about the what-ifs because you can only control what's in front of you at the moment. First things first, get you license, and let the chips fall where they may.

As wis bang stated. The accident report isn’t always clear to a civilian. Have a State Police Officer interpret it for you. I did that once, at a Donut Shop, Lol. After getting a copy of an accident report. The Trooper pointed out everything, including 2 mistakes that needed fixing. Too late, my license was already suspended, due to the mistake. That triggered an automatic 36 mo. waiting period to get a CDL. That’s back when the CDL was new. I had a C1 License to drive a Straight Truck. Couldn’t even get the equivalent CDLB when reinstated. All because I didn’t get a copy, and have it interpreted. A disaster.
Since then, a copy if any accident no matter how minor right away. Never know what’s on it. You weren’t ticketed, may not affect you at all. Get a copy of your DL, a “Company” type copy. That’s what Prospective Companies will see. Like they said, you were hit. You didn’t hit someone else. Even when it’s a Deer. You got hit by a Deer. Never say you hit a Deer. Sounds silly, but it’s true.

I could go two different ways with my comment. I could join @TripleSix in their correct comment. However, I rather just say this. Real-world! The OP can get a CDL provided he never lost his regular driver's license. The OP can also get into most schools as well. Provided there are no long-term effects from the accident I see no real issues going forward. Carriers are so desperate for drivers right now they are nowhere near as hard on driving records as they once were. Now, before someone corrects that comment mentioning insurance. Let me preempt this. That is true with smaller carriers that don't self underwrite their insurance. It is, however, not true with the larger carriers that do. I see no issues going forward with the OP getting a CDL and job later PROVIDED there is no issue's not mentioned by the OP.
