Had a guy try to get a free shower on me today.

I thought I was the only one who used the showers exclusively for number 2.
I just jumped back in the truck after my evening shower, and after having given one of my shower credits to a swift trainee who was popping his shower cherry at the flying j. Third day on the truck, and his trainer hasn't taught him much about how the whole truckstop experience works. He didn't even have a reward card. We got him a shower and a rewards card, and he's well on his way to looking sharp for swift's employee of the month.

Ive given mine to hands that needed one, and I have been given one. Two weeks ago as a matter of fact. You have to help each other out every now and then.

Now, with that being said, always be wary of the cat that asks to share your shower instead of letting him have one by himself. That's where I'm going to draw the line. I stopped showering and dropping deuces in front of other dudes the day I got out of the Navy.

 

I think cameras in the showers is a great idea. I don't have anything to hide. Mine is no different than anybody else's, it's just a lot bigger.

 

Awhile back I had a friend riding with and I only had one shower credit. I was going to pay for one($12) and a guy behind me said he would sell me one of his for $5.

I saved $7 he put $5 in his pocket. Worked for me.

you go up to the fuel desk tell them team shower they hand you another ticket
i never pay for 2 showers anywhere with the wife riding along

 

We ladies would have a problem with this...

 

Thanks for the advice but my friend was only 12 so the team driver deal wasn't working.

 

Really? They won't let you use a team shower if you bring your kid on the road?

 

I can imagine you probably would.

 

They don't really care. They give it to you if you ask. For all they know, your team driver could be parking the rig, or fueling, etc.

And honestly, the truck stop employees aren't hitler when it comes to showers. I've been given many free ones. I went into a Loves smelling horrible after going almost two full days without a shower (long story) in the southwest summer after doing a double drop-n-hook from hell. I so badly needed a shower, but my hours put me there, and I had no credits. I went to the counter and asked if I could get a shower for free. The lady behind the counter gave me the key after I handed her my Loves card for her to hold (which didn't have credits on it, nor did she swipe it, but just put it on the clipboard to make it look normal).

 

I think we all would have given you a free shower at that point!
