What kind of truck? We want to see a picture! Stop teasing us and keeping us on the edge of our seats.

Vampyres - I live not too far north of where you are. I would be willing to help you out in some way, but you may already be on your way. Let me know, we'll see what's possible. Out of kindness. I don't want one single thing in return, cept to consider us friends.

Coffey, Wasted Thyme and Vampyres Thank this.

You passed lesson number 1 of truck driving.
Never trust anyone who owns the truck that you work for.
Always keep a emergency fund to get you home.
I've seen way too many pushed out the gate, with all their
    Stuff,sitting on the curb,broke.
    Wondering what the hell happened.

They got me once a long time ago.
I figured that game out real quick.
They pay your way to get the job,
When it's over, your own your own.
Doesn't make a difference where your at.

That truck would’ve needed an engine by the time I had it cleaned out..

Then you'd end up with a really large settlement against you in court.

sometimes buying a car is cheaper than renting in that situation. get insurance in your home state, a temp tag, drive home and sell it. an old rv for cash might work too, then you save on motels, get home and sell it. can do the same thing sometimes instead of uhaul or penske rentals, find a good deal on a box truck, buy it, use it and sell it, if you get a decent deal it can be cheaper than renting, (unless you have a breakdown of course) i but i hate renting stuff.
