Normally I would apologize for hijacking the thread, but that ship sailed on page 1 .

 

But the only thing that makes me wonder on this specific situation is this. If the old man is back in charge, does this current spending reflect making up for what the others weren't doing?
Is it a true upgrade or expansion spending? Just wondering.

Driver shortage my ###... with respect sir.

There is a another article proclaiming in our nation how the immigrants are coming HERE from war torn Syria and other lands to drive our trucks for half what they pay you and me, not knowing any better. Then it accuses the companies of not just paying .20 a mile, they gain thousands from Uncle Sam bankrupted pockets for each soul they stick in that can and say "Get going."

Sometimes I wonder what in the world are we fixing to end up. It hurts me as a Patriot. But I remember that we are after all a immigrant Land. But we are built on war and freedom. I'll be ###### if I have to learn the arabic and adhearn just to put up with the fellow drivers to be honest with you. If they are happy running at .20 a mile while my nickel plated .50 cent ### gets sent to pasture... ugh... /rant

 

^^^. I was confused by your opening. Didn't offend me. I said the same thing. I don't believe in the driver shortage.

 

We have a driver shortage of quality drivers. I also think the work programs that send 100's of thousands of fools who can barely read and write BS. That is killing earning for good guys/gals who are safe dedicated drivers. Continue to see companies with 100% turnover rate and you will continue to see low earnings. Thats a fact. You want to drive trucks? Show some dedication and pay for the class and stop thinking everything is free or with credit.

I agree 100% with you Chinatown that we are a nation of immigrants. I also think its time to slow that down a little. Having worked and lived in 4 foreign countries and marrying a foreigner who is now a citizen I saw the immigration process first hand. I got to see with my own eyes that every American Embassy I went to (4) the lines were out the door with people trying to get Visas. I am pretty sure if we just let anyone come that wanted eventually we would be living like rats and have even worse social issues. We cant even take care of the 350,000,000 we have now.
