DRIVERS WITH A MAXXFORCE 13 OR 74(CAT w/ automatic)-79 NUMBER BOYD/WTI
DO NOT fuel here.
The truck starts jerking, the jerking turns into a power loss. 2nd gear with 6,000 on the deck, NO PULL. lucky enough, i cling to that right lane. mainly cause the only thing I can outrun is a school bus... not in NJ I can't.... embarssing.back on topic, some TA in GA, lost pull on the ramp. it pulled, but only did 16mph downhill. I was hoping when I turned in I could stop and fix it. nope, peterbulit pulled in behind me.
"Hold on Wolf Pack, she's not wanting to pull."
If it does this, wait for it to lose pull, pullover, turn it off for a minute. turn it back over and you should have all your power back.

Sounds like you got some water. Drop them filters.

As for if it did have bad filters put on, I would have no way of knowing. Looked at it while they had it on the lift, the engine didn't look like an engine. All that filtering crap, besides one fuel filter. That one I can drain. I know CAT engines have more than 2. Whereabouts on the others, a pen would know more.
When I had it done at a Boyd yard, I watched them pour the fuel out of the old filters into the new ones. Why I leased, they can only touch the tractor if I ask them to.Last edited: Jul 13, 2012
