Looks like through a third party recruiter , they are the ones with the most aggressive craigslist ads talking about 120 to 140k per year pay.
Anyone responded to these ads and actually gotten a job like this?
Halliburton paying 120k per year for CDL work?

I don’t think the gig is in Iraq. If the compensation you listed is true I guess it could be Iraq but your chances of spending the money would be slim since there are not enough troops in Iraq to ensure safe travel like they did previously. The situation in Iraq is more dangerous now than ever. I was in Iraq from 2004 to 2010 and there was plenty to do and plenty of contractors and troops. I think the only troops in Iraq are specialized like special operators and their focus is different. I think they would be using Iraqi drivers if anything. It could be a gig in Afghanistan or elsewhere in the Middle East but those salary figures don’t sound correct because it would have to be in a combat zone where you would actually leave the base. Then again you can make that kind of money here if you make the right moves.

Its in the permian basin.
And I am not even really sure its Halliburton.
The ads dont say who they represent and it took several emails for me to get a one word response that said "Halliburton".
These are the wall of text ads that keep showing up in the criagslist ads down here.

Is this for a contractor position? I've never met anyone at Halliburton that wasn't a direct hire. Best, and worst way to get a Halliburton job is through their website.
When it was busy we had lots of contract labor, they were paid more, but were also the first to be let go when it slowed down.
Last I heard Schlumberger was only hiring through a temp agency, all new people are temp to hire contractors. It is possible Halliburton is doing the same now.
FYI, you need a CDL, but you'll use a sledgehammer way more.stwik, Paddlewagon, wtxiceman and 2 others Thank this.
