Hamstrung in returning to trucking

The Schneider hiring event seems ok.
You can try applying in person if the companies have a facility nearby. If the company says "No", then return home and apply online with the same company and don't mention you already applied in person.

If Schneider somehow doesn't pan out (or even while you wait for a response) -- you might also try this carrier....note in the linked ad below it mentions a 9-day refresher course for those with prev experience -- but no recent experience (& they may offer a similar position near you):

FFE -- Class A CDL regional

This position will also pay better than Schneider.
