I have some questions about Handles. 1) How do you know who each other are on the road? 2) Do you have a handle? 3) Do you take pride in your handle? 4) Is there some form of registry so that you can mark it as your own? 5) Would you want a registry to protect your handle from anyone else being able to use it "officially?"

I know very little about trucking other than when I was younger, I enjoyed getting on the CB and contacting truckers from my dad's caravan. :)

Thank you in advance for your advice. Any additional knowledge about communicating on the road with other truckers would be of great help. Stay safe and God Bless!

    1. you don't, really, unless you run with them often.
    2. Yes, Mercenary
    3. Not really, have had it for years, it stuck.
    4. No
    5. No, I'm sure there are other Mercenaries out there, I don't mind. I usually just use my name.

Just use plain language. No need for fancy codes.. You'll learn the lingo the longer you drive.
